Abstract:
The process of teaching and learning concepts related to Chemical Balance (EQ) has proved to be challenging at all levels of education. The present investigation aims to identify trends in teaching and learning related to the topic. For this, bibliographic research was carried out, using the analysis of articles published in national and international journals in the area of Chemistry and Science teaching during the period between 2001-2021. The results revealed the main alternative conceptions of the students and some of the trends that marked the studies in this area, such as the predominance of the kinetic approach of EQ; use of the constructivist theoretical basis in the approaches; use of didactic strategies such as analogies, problem solving, case study, experimental activities and use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).
